Also, I thought his...I think you misread his post. Also, I thought his post was thought provoking, expecially to those who have anti-gay beliefs. I certainly do not think there should be a law against homosexuality. However, his post was a logical one.

Now, you will have to consider it from his point of view, which will be difficult, but consider it in steps.

1) Homosexualtiy is really wrong (because the bible tells him so, granted, but plug in any other thing a lot of people think is wrong, like eating meat, abortion, fertilizing lawns that abut streams, etc.)

2) If we believe it to be wrong, why would we not advocate that there be a law against it? Are we comfortable advocating and supporting a law against it? If not, why not, given that we believe it is wrong?

I would suggest that maybe he somehow realizes that he, or least people with beliefs similar to him would not be comfortable doing so. He just can't figure out why. Kind of thought provoking, isn't it?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15526067.post-80241438978612557962007-07-31T18:35:00.000-07:002007-07-31T18:35:00.000-07:00I never generalized. But all religions ARE messed up in that they all perpetuate beliefs as facts. Some are more messed up than others, but they're all messed up. The thing that defines an idea as "relgious" is what is messed up about them, so it's not a generalization.JesusIsJustAlrightWithMehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07943373959282558773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15526067.post-74837158458018455072007-07-15T11:21:00.000-07:002007-07-15T11:21:00.000-07:00hmmm... from one religious nutcase who advocates T...hmmm... from one religious nutcase who advocates Taliban-like laws to.... this proves again that ALL RELIGIOUS PEOPLE AND ALL RELIGIONS ARE TOTALLY MESSED UP.

Do you ever listen to yourself generalize??? At least your "friend" limits his generalizations to only homosexuals, which as far as mass numbers of population and history of the world is at least more limited than your extraordinarily generalizations.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15526067.post-30684436005422772632007-06-13T23:13:00.000-07:002007-06-13T23:13:00.000-07:00hihiJesusIsJustAlrightWithMehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07943373959282558773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15526067.post-25607001565224252772007-04-11T10:50:00.000-07:002007-04-11T10:50:00.000-07:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Dupa Jasiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08009540108347792179noreply@blogger.com
